Five Minute Workout

Now's the Time to Exercise.

It’s the festive time of the year and the most common New Year resolution is starting an exercise program to lose weight and get in shape. While most people have every intention of following through with this unfortunately only a few do and of those even less keep it up. It is very hard to change your lifestyle and start a new routine.

It takes motivation and some discipline.

Here are a few things you can use to help you keep your New Year resolution.

1. What is your goal or reason for starting an exercise program? Is it for a medical condition or to prevent one? Or is your goal to feel and look better? Whatever it is, write it down as a reminder to yourself.

2. Do something you enjoy. If you don’t like swimming, don’t go to the pool. If you don’t like gyms, don’t join one. Whatever you decide to do make sure you enjoy it otherwise you will find excuse’s not to go.

3. Get a friend to join you. This can make it more fun and if you decide not to go for any reason you are letting someone else down as well as yourself. Exercising with a friend can make it a bit more competitive and so you try harder and get quicker results.

4. Pay for it in advance. This can be a great motivator because no one likes to waste money, so if you’ve paid you are more likely to keep on going.

These are a few things that hopefully can help you start and stick with an exercise program to give you a healthier life. If you are someone that needs a bit of a push and help with motivation please contact us.
