Being Healthy is a Way of Life

Getting in shape and being healthy is a lifestyle and not a three month plan over summer.

If you’re one of those people that decide to exercise in December and stop in March than you are always going to have the same health issues.

Just like yo-yo dieting your weight will go up and down depending on if you are exercising or not. This can be expensive financially if you have to buy clothes to suit your fluctuating sizes.

It can also cause emotional pain if you have lost the weight only to put it back on and sometimes a bit more, when you go back to your old habits.

So why do you do it to yourself? I can hear some of you readers saying “If I’m only going to put the weight back on when I stop, why should I start?” If you want to stay as you are and deal with the health issues you will face than that is fine. That’s your choice.

On the other hand why stop exercising? If you like how you feel when you are fitter, stronger, and healthier than don’t stop. If you want to look good, and I’m sure most of you reading this would, than create a healthy lifestyle for yourself and your family.

Eat more fruit and veggies and lean meat. Drink plenty of water, it’s free. Lift weights 2 to 3 times a week. Join a sporting club. Go for a run or swim. Ride a bike. Find something you enjoy and commit yourself to it. Try something new for a change.

Get a Personal Trainer for help, that’s what we do.

Whatever you decide don’t sit around thinking about it “Just Do It”. Don’t let the old or grumpy person move into your body. Stay young and happy and enjoy everything life has to offer. Be strong.
