It's not how hard you hit the ball, although body strength is important, it's your Technique and how your body Coordinates your Natural Power with your technique.

Your golf coach will teach you the correct technique the same way as they teach all of their students.

So you need that little bit of extra icing to perfect your action, increase the flow through your body from your feet up through your legs, torso, arms and out the end of the club.

Coordination, Timing, Speed, Balance, Flexibility and Belief.

You must be able to Coordinate your movements perfectly if you are going to hit the ball in the sweet spot everytime. If you're not coordinating the shifting of your bodyweight from your backswing to the moment of impact properly, than your shot will suffer.

That flows right onto the second must have. Timing. Your timing must be exact when you hit the ball to have the desired effect. If your timing is off, the ball can go anywhere, or no where. It goes together with coordination like peas and carrots.

Speed. Pretty self explanatory. If you move slow there is no projection. But this doesn't mean you move as quick as hummanly possible. To quick and you may make a mistake in your timing and coordination. It takes practise. You may also upset your balance which is the next secret.

I'm sure your coach has stressed to you the importance of Balance. Being equal weight on both feet and maintaining your balance as you transfer your bodyweight. But do you really practise it? There are some simple exercises that can be performed to dramatically increase your balance for any situation.

If you find yourself in the rough, on a slope, a strong crosswind blowing, pressures on, you want to have the confidence of knowing that you have prepared for moments like this. Not just making the shot but landing it on the putting green. Have total body balance throughout the entire shot to keep you on top of the game.

Flexibility. Are you flexible? Do you perform a couple of quick stretches, eg touch your toes than go straight into the game? Do you stretch after the game?

Most injuries are caused by tight stiff muscles. A sore lower back may be caused by tight calf muscles. Do you know what a Psoas muscle does? Very important to keep this muscle relaxed.

By keeping flexible you allow your body to move efficiently, making your golfswing flow naturally.

Belief. You must believe, conceive to achieve in anything in life. This is just as important on the golf course. If you have put in the time and effort with the first 5 secrets and practised until you have perfected, than I guarantee you will increase your drive by 60 meters or more.
